Aluvision Moves into Brand New headquarters at Evolis in Kortrijk (BE) Green and sustainable new building in an attractive location in a growing city

Kortrijk, September 5, 2024 - The brand-new headquarters of Aluvision, specialist in sustainable modular systems, LED tiles, and total solutions for tradeshows and events, has officially been opened by Kortrijk Mayor Vincent Van Quickenborne. This new base, on the innovative Evolis site of the Intercommunale Leiedal along the E17 freeway, includes production facilities, warehouse space, a logistics center, and temporary pop-up offices. By the autumn of 2025, the future-proof offices, experience room, and multifunctional rooftop space should be completely finished and Kortrijk will have a new community hub. In the meantime, Aluvision is looking to recruit new employees.

When entrepreneurial couple Ann Vancoillie and Dirk Deleu founded Creaplan almost three decades ago, they never imagined that this would one day lead to a world player in the market for tradeshows and events. In 2003, they developed their own innovative construction system under the name Aluvision. This later became the name of a new company, specialized in the development, production, and delivery of modular systems, LED tiles and complete units for exhibits and events, both interior and exterior. Tremendous 'goesting’ (enthusiasm), focus on quality, and a drive for innovation are an essential part of the success of this family business. Today, with branches in Belgium and the US, Aluvision is synonymous worldwide with a wide range of systems and solutions that combine quality with ease of use and reusability, and both owners remain highly ambitious.

“We want to continue to grow, without sacrificing the high quality of product and service for which we are recognized in the market. Moreover, although we were proud of our site in Deinze, it was impossible to expand further at that site and we had to look for a new location,” states Aluvision co-owner Ann Vancoillie. “At Evolis, a project of Intercommunale Leiedal, we were able to check off many of our wishes and requirements. For example, there is the visible location along the E17 highway, an important traffic artery to many important Belgian cities and the north of France. This modern, green industrial zone also caters to other road users thanks to, among other things, a bicycle highway. We were also able to invest in a new construction project there, which offers the opportunity for further expansion in the future. Finally, we chose the city of Kortrijk, a decidedly growing city with lots of scenic spots, excellent hotel facilities, and an ambitious plan in terms of economy and society.”

Green headquarters
Aluvision's new headquarters covers an area of more than 118,000 sq. ft., tripling the size of the former site. Two thirds are occupied by production space, warehouse, and logistics center, which are spread over two buildings. The temporary pop-up offices, meeting rooms, and showroom were constructed with the company's own modular systems. By the fall of 2025, however, the new future-proof offices, an experience room, an event hall, a multipurpose rooftop space, and an in-house restaurant should be fully finished.

“In everything we do, we think about the environmental impact and the working conditions for the health of our employees. This was no different in the design of this new building,” says Aluvision co-owner Dirk Deleu. “We chose innovative and green energy technologies, such as geothermal drilling and solar panels. Our employees will find themselves in ergonomically designed offices and production areas, and we also continue to invest in machinery updates. Finally, we incorporated numerous wellness and leisure facilities into the building, such as an in-house restaurant, gym, a green terrace on the roof and even a fully-equipped movie theatre, for all to enjoy.”

'Community hub'
All employees have since made the move to the new office in Kortrijk. Aluvision’s production operations are better streamlined, and the plant can house a larger inventory of profiles, LED tiles, and other products, allowing for even faster delivery.

“We are proud of our newest creation and happy with the choice of Kortrijk. Today we are fully engaged in looking for new people who want to collaborate with us in the further expansion of this beautiful company,” Vancoillie and Deleu conclude. “Of course, we also want to be an added value for the city. We will do that through further international growth, but also by opening our facilities, once the building is fully ready, as a 'community hub’ which other companies and organizations can also use.”
